Trafalgar Square ceramic tile with easel is by North East artist Emily Ward. The ceramic tile has been created from original art by Emily and is hand pressed locally in her art studio.
Emily's art gift of Trafalgar Square has an emphasis on colour and tone. The fountain is painted with fluid, upward strokes, its turquoise sprays standing out against a sky of muted pink and purple.

Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar Square was created in the mid-nineteenth century as part of a civic project led by Charles Barry to honour Britain’s naval victory at Trafalgar in 1805. At its centre stands Nelson’s Column, rising above the city as a lasting tribute to Admiral Nelson. Surrounded by fountains, statues, and monuments, the square was designed as a grand public space for London.
Over the years, Trafalgar Square
has grown beyond its role as a memorial. It has become a gathering place for celebration, protest, and community life. From political demonstrations to cultural events, it reflects the character of the city. Each ceramic tile is made from an original painting by North East Artist Emily Ward.
Each tile comes with it’s own wooden easel so your tile is easy to display.
There is a cork backing on each tile and each tile is individually wrapped in a cellophane bag.
All ceramic tiles are individually printed so there may be a slight variation in colour tones.
