Natural History Museum framed ceramic tile has been designed from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. All ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio, where she hand finishes every tile.

Behind the building, a soft blue sky filled with pastel dots adds a whimsical, almost celebratory tone to the scene. The scattered colours create a sense of lightness and movement, suggesting a gentle breeze or a shower of confetti that enlivens this wall art.
In the foreground, wildflowers stretch across the ceramic tile. Painted in loose, vibrant dabs of pink, yellow, and purple, the flowers bring life and energy to the piece.

The Natural History Museum
in London was officially opened in 1881, designed to house Britain’s extensive collections of natural specimens that were originally part of the British Museum. Built in a striking Romanesque Revival style, the museum features grand arches, intricate terracotta decorations, and twin towers, making it an architectural landmark. Over time, it developed into one of the world’s leading centres for the study and display of natural history, with millions of specimens covering everything from fossils and minerals to plants and animals.
Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
