Battersea Power Station Framed Ceramic Tile
Battersea Power Station Ceramic Tile
Battersea Power Station framed ceramic tile has been designed from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. All ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio, where she hand finishes every tile.
This artwork reimagines Battersea Power Station with bold colour and a playful sense of energy. The deep orange-red brickwork of the building glows warmly, while its four towering chimneys stand tall in soft cream tones, cutting into a vibrant sky of pinks, purples, and lilacs.
The sky is alive with texture, dotted and splashed with bursts of colour that give this framed ceramic tile a burst of colour.
In the foreground, a field of wildflowers is expressed through flicks of paint in shades of violet, yellow, white, and green, creating a lively carpet that softens the industrial form of the power station.
The overall effect is both striking and uplifting, turning a piece of London’s industrial heritage into a scene of colour, light, and imagination.

Battersea Power Station
Battersea Power Station is an iconic landmark on the south bank of the River Thames, instantly recognisable for its four towering white chimneys that rise above the massive brick structure. Once a coal-fired power station supplying electricity to much of London, it has long been admired as a masterpiece of industrial architecture, combining imposing scale with striking Art Deco design details.
Today, after extensive restoration, the building has been reimagined as a vibrant hub of homes, shops, restaurants, and cultural spaces, while still retaining its monumental presence. Its bold silhouette against the London skyline makes it not only a symbol of the city’s industrial past but also of its creative renewal and modern transformation.
