London Eye framed ceramic tile has been designed from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. All ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio, where she hand finishes every tile.
Emily Ward’s framed ceramic art tile portrays the London Eye in a soft, dreamlike setting, where colour and texture take centre stage. The great wheel is outlined in gentle purples and blues, rising gracefully against a sky awash with pinks, lilacs, and lavender tones, flecked with lighter speckles.
In the foreground, a vibrant field of flowers fills the scene with energy, created through scattered strokes and splashes of colour with bright yellows, delicate whites, rich purples, and lively pinks.
The expressive brushwork of the blossoms contrasts with the calm, steady form of the London Eye, giving the artwork a balance between stillness and vitality, and transforming this modern landmark into a scene full of colour, warmth, and life.

London Eye
The London Eye, located on the South Bank of the River Thames, is one of the capital’s most iconic attractions and a defining feature of its modern skyline. Opened in 2000 to celebrate the new millennium, the vast observation wheel stands 135 metres tall and was, at the time, the tallest of its kind in the world.
The 32 glass capsules provide sweeping views over London, taking in landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Shard, drawing millions of visitors each year. Designed by David Marks and Julia Barfield, the structure combines striking contemporary design with impressive engineering.
Today, the London Eye
is not only a hugely popular tourist destination but also a symbol of modern London, often forming the backdrop to major events and celebrations, including the city’s famous New Year’s Eve fireworks.
Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
