Frem on the Tyne Square Open Edition Print
Frem on the Tyne Square Open Edition Print
Frem on the Tyne square open edition print has been created from an original painting by local North East artist Emily Ward. All of Emily's art prints are also available framed.
Inspired by a local North Shields fisherman who invited Emily to do painting of his pride and joy and also his livelihood, his fishing boat.
Emily's art print captures the dark skies with flashes of light cutting across through the clouds. The rough choppy seas of a cold winter morning can be seen as the fishing trawler cuts through the swell of the water leaving a trail of sea spray in its wake.
The two piers proudly guarding the Mouth of the Tyne can be seen lit up with the white of the spindrift of the waves. The trawler is navigating its way back up the River Tyne to unload its catch at North Shields fish quay.
