Cullercoats, The Wave Square Open Edition Print
Cullercoats, The Wave square open edition print has been produced from original art by local North East artist Emily Ward. All of Emily's art prints are also available framed.
The orange sunset in the distance is visible through the dark grey and purple skies which give the impression a storm is on the way. Waves are sweeping over the pier where you can see the reflecting colours of the night sky on the water.

Cullercoats
Cullercoats bay in North Tyneside is a crescent shaped beach enclosed by two piers. Cliffs and some small caves all add to the lovely character of the secluded Cullercoats harbour.
Cullercoats had a thriving fishing industry in the 1800s and small fishing boats can still be spotted around the bay. Dove Marine Laboratory, on the bay itself, is an important research centre for Newcastle University's School of Marine Science.
The Victorian RNLI Lifeboat Station located in the bay, is still active today. At the top of the north bank is Cullercoats Watch House.
