Berwick Lighthouse
Berwick Lighthouse stands at the end of the 877 metre long breakwater which protects the entrance to the River Tweed and Berwick Harbour. Built in the 19th century Berwick Lighthouse has been welcoming seafarers for nearly 200 years.
The lighthouse stands 13.5 metres tall and is a major landmark in the town with it's distinctive red and white colouring. Berwick Lighthouse has featured on many pictures and photographs over the years, including the iconic painting by L S Lowry. Berwick's renowned Lowry Trail includes a walk out to the lighthouse.
