Transporter Bridge
The Transporter Bridge
is an iconic landmark on the River Tees since its opening in 1911. This beautifully maintained bridge is one of only two still operating in the UK.
Middlesbrough’s famous bridge was painted red when it first opened and was changed to blue in 1961.
