Hexham Abbey
The market town of Hexham is in the scenic county of Northumberland and is home to Hexham Abbey
a Grade 1 listed building.
The Night Stairs in the abbey are thirty five time worn steps that lead up from the south transept. They have been in constant use since the 13th century. They provide an atmospheric reminder to the Abbey's history as a monastic church.
