St Albans Cathedral Hanging Pendant Decoration
St Albans Cathedral Hanging Pendant Decoration
St Albans Cathedral ceramic pendant has been created from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. This lovely hanging decoration has been hand pressed locally in her studio near Newcastle.
An abundance of colourful flowers fills the foreground of this vibrant view of St Albans Cathedral. Tall stems of pink, purple and blue are mixed with delicate white, yellow and lilac blooms, creating a bright meadow effect across the bottom of this decorative pendant.
The vivid lime green grass leads the eye towards the cathedral, while the soft natural stone colours of the building provide a gentle contrast to the stronger colours of the flowers.

St Albans Cathedral
St Albans Cathedral combines architectural features from several different periods, reflecting centuries of building, alteration and restoration. Its impressive Norman tower is one of its most recognisable features and was constructed using reused Roman material.
Inside, the cathedral contains medieval wall paintings, historic monuments and the shrine of St Alban. Formerly part of St Albans Abbey, the church became a cathedral in 1877 and today remains an important place of worship as well as a major historic landmark.
