Rope Bridge, Carrick-a-Rede Bone China Cup

Rope Bridge, Carrick-a-Rede Bone China Cup

Rope Bridge, Carrick-a-Rede bone china cup has been designed from original artwork by Emily Ward. All cups are printed and hand pressed in Emily's studio in the North East.

Emily’s bright bone china cup captures the beauty of the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, suspended between the rugged cliffs of the Northern Irish coastline.

The sea is painted in brilliant shades of turquoise, aqua and deep blue, with touches of white suggesting waves breaking against the rocks below. Above, a bright blue sky is filled with soft, billowing white clouds, creating a fresh and uplifting summer atmosphere.

The dramatic cliffs are brought to life with rich greens, earthy browns and warm golden tones, while the foreground bursts with colourful wildflowers in vivid pinks, yellows and whites.

Delicate splashes of colour scattered throughout the scene creates a bright and joyful celebration of this spectacular coastal landscape.

Rope Bridge, Carrick-a-Rede

The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is one of Northern Ireland’s most spectacular coastal landmarks, situated near Ballintoy on the beautiful Causeway Coast in County Antrim. Suspended high above the Atlantic Ocean, the famous rope bridge stretches across a dramatic rocky chasm, connecting the mainland to the small island of Carrick-a-Rede.

Originally used by salmon fishermen, the bridge is now a popular visitor attraction, offering breathtaking views of rugged cliffs, turquoise waters and the surrounding coastline. On a clear day, visitors can enjoy views towards Rathlin Island and even across to Scotland, making it a picturesque part of Northern Ireland’s coastal landscape.
