The Natural History Museum is portrayed with warmth and a gentle glow on this art coaster Emily has used layers of soft, earthy tones to highlight the building’s Romanesque features, from the tall, symmetrical towers to the grand arched entrance.
The sky above is a wash of calming blues and lavenders, scattered with tiny flecks of colour that suggest twinkling light or falling petals. This adds a dreamy, almost magical quality to the scene. Wildflowers bloom in lively splashes of yellow, pink, and purple. These vibrant dots add a playful energy and softness, contrasting with the building’s solid form.

Natural History Museum
Today, the Natural History Museum in London stands as a world-renowned institution, attracting millions of visitors each year who come to explore its vast collections of fossils, minerals, and specimens from across the natural world. Its stunning architecture and iconic Hintze Hall, home to the famous blue whale skeleton, have also made it a popular location for films such as 'Paddington' and 'Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb'.
The museum was officially opened in 1881, designed by Alfred Waterhouse to house Britain’s expanding natural history collections, which were originally part of the British Museum. Built in a distinctive Romanesque Revival style, the building’s grand arches, terracotta details, and twin towers have become instantly recognizable.
