Kensington Palace Coaster
Kensington Palace Coaster
Kensington Palace coaster by artist Emily Ward has been hand pressed locally onto a FSC rated hardbacked coaster. The coaster has been produced from original artwork by Emily.
This coaster can also be purchased in a set of four in a gift box.
Emily’s art coaster of Kensington Palace reimagines the historic building with a bright, expressive touch. The warm tones of the palace sit confidently beneath a sky brushed in soft purples and blues, giving the scene a calm atmosphere. The composition draws the eye along the central path, where a statue offers balance and stillness within the flow of colour.
In the foreground, a meadow of wildflowers is painted in scattered dots and dashes of yellow, white, and lavender. These playful touches bring movement and texture to the piece, creating a gentle contrast with the grounded weight of the palace.

Kensington Palace
Kensington Palace has been a royal residence for over 300 years, quietly shaping the private lives of some of Britain’s most well-known monarchs. Originally built as a modest mansion in 1605, it was transformed into a royal palace by William III and Mary II, who sought a home away from Whitehall. Over the centuries, it became home to a string of royals, including Queen Anne, George II, and most famously, Queen Victoria, who was born and raised there before becoming queen.
Kensington Palace now serves as a public museum and working royal residence, offering visitors a chance to walk through centuries of royal stories while remaining a part of the modern monarchy’s day-to-day life. Its layered history, from quiet beginnings to global significance, is reflected in the building’s evolving architecture and presence.
