The Natural History Museum
in London was founded in the 19th century to provide a dedicated space for Britain’s growing collection of natural specimens. The iconic building, designed by Alfred Waterhouse and completed in 1881, is renowned for its Romanesque Revival style, featuring impressive arches, detailed stonework, and twin towers. Originally part of the British Museum, the Natural History Museum was created to better serve scientists and the public by focusing solely on the natural world.
Today, the museum is one of the largest and most important natural history collections in the world. It holds millions of specimens, ranging from dinosaur fossils to rare minerals and plant samples, and attracts visitors from across the globe.

The canvas is mounted on a wooden frame. The wooden frame is approximately 2cm deep so will fit snugly against any wall.
