Emily’s ceramic pendant of Durdle Door presents the iconic coastal scene in a soft palette filled with delicate colour. The sky is painted in gentle washes of pale blue, lavender, and hints of pink, creating a calm atmosphere, while small scattered dots of colour drift across it like floating petals.

The sea below shifts beautifully from deep turquoise near the arch to lighter, shimmering blues closer to the shore, reflecting the soft tones of the sky. The sandy beach curves warmly along the coastline in shades of peach and golden beige, adding a sense of warmth to this art pendant.

In the foreground, a vibrant meadow of flowers bursts into life, with tall, slender stems topped with dots of pink, purple, yellow, and white.

Together, the soft sky, sparkling sea, and bright flowers give this art gift a peaceful yet lively quality, blending natural beauty with a pop of colour.

Durdle Door

Durdle Door is a striking natural limestone arch located along the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, renowned for its dramatic shape and coastal beauty. Formed over millions of years by the erosion of rock by powerful sea waves, the arch rises gracefully from the clear blue waters, creating a unique and instantly recognisable landmark.

The surrounding cliffs and rolling green hills add to the scenery, offering breathtaking views from above and along the beach below. The contrast between the pale stone, the deep blue sea, and the changing sky makes Durdle Door a popular destination for walkers, photographers, and visitors seeking one of the south coast’s most iconic natural landscapes.

The site is part of the Jurassic Coast, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001 due to its outstanding geological importance and well-preserved record of Earth’s history.
