Hengistbury Head Hanging Pendant Decoration
Hengistbury Head ceramic pendant has been created from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. This lovely hanging decoration has been hand pressed locally in her studio near Newcastle.
Emily can handwrite your message on the reverse of the pendant, just add your message to the order.
A soft, luminous scene unfolds across Hengistbury Head, where rows of beach huts sit nestled among a foreground of delicate, scattered blossoms in shades of pink, yellow, and white. The light shines over the gentle pastels of powder blue, seafoam green, soft yellow, and muted coral of beach huts on Emily’s art gift.
The sky stretches wide in tones of lavender, pale blue, and hints of grey, with cloud forms softly layered and fluffy.
Beyond the huts, the sandy beach extends in warm, sandy creams and light golds, leading toward the calm sea, which reflects the sky in subdued blues and silvery tones. The water appears smooth and quiet, meeting the horizon in a soft line beneath the hazy sky, while a fine scattering of colourful speckles drifts across the entire ceramic pendant.

Hengistbury Head
Hengistbury Head is a striking headland on the south coast of England, located between Bournemouth and Christchurch. It forms a natural barrier between Christchurch Harbour and the open sea, with dramatic cliffs, heathland, and sandy beaches that make it a popular destination for walkers and nature lovers.
Hengistbury Head
is also an important archaeological site, with evidence of human activity dating back to the Stone Age and significant Iron Age settlements. The headland was once a major trading port in pre-Roman times, linking Britain with continental Europe.
Today it is protected as a nature reserve, valued for both its wildlife and its rich historical significance.
