Belfast Castle framed ceramic tile has been designed from artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. All ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio, where she hand finishes every tile.
Emily’s framed ceramic tile captures the fairytale charm of Belfast Castle, warm shades of golden yellow, soft peach and delicate pink highlight the magnificent turrets, elegant towers and stonework.
The castle stands proudly beneath a spectacular sky filled with swirling shades of lavender, lilac, deep purple and rosy pink, scattered with playful splashes of bright yellow and white. In the foreground, a glorious meadow of colourful wildflowers bursts into life, with cheerful white daisies, vibrant pink blossoms, rich blue and purple flowers and splashes of sunshine yellow dancing amongst lush green grasses.
The beautifully landscaped gardens and surrounding trees add to the peaceful setting, while the combination of bright colours and delicate floral details creates a magical, uplifting interpretation of one of Northern Ireland’s most treasured landmarks.

Belfast Castle
Belfast Castle
is one of Northern Ireland’s most beautiful historic landmarks, situated on the slopes of Cave Hill, overlooking Belfast and Belfast Lough. Completed in 1870, the castle was built in the Scottish Baronial style, featuring elegant turrets, ornate stonework and an impressive tower. Originally home to the Marquess of Donegall, the castle was later gifted to the people of Belfast in 1934 by the Shaftesbury family.
Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, colourful flowerbeds and peaceful woodland, the castle offers spectacular views across the city.
Today, Belfast Castle is a popular visitor attraction and a much loved venue for weddings and special celebrations, making it one of Belfast’s most treasured landmarks.
