This lovely ceramic tile has been created from an original painting of Whitby Abbey that Emily was commissioned to do. The impressive Gothic ruins stand proud under a mysterious sky rich in purples and blues.

Whitby Abbey

Whitby Abbey lies on a clifftop on the East Cliff in Whitby, North Yorkshire. This 7th -century Christian monastery later became a Benedictine abbey until the abbey and its possessions were confiscated by Henry VIII between 1536 - 1545.

Whitby abbey is steeped in history and the dramatic gothic backdrop inspired Bram Stoker in 1890 to create the world famous Dracula.

Each ceramic tile is made from an original painting by North East Artist Emily Ward.

Each tile comes with it’s own wooden easel so your tile is easy to display.

There is a cork backing on each tile and each tile is individually wrapped in a cellophane bag.

All ceramic tiles are individually printed so there may be a slight variation in colour tones.
