Temple of Piety, Fountains Abbey

Studley Royal Water Garden and Fountains Abbey near Ripon in Yorkshire, is a designated World Heritage Site. It is owned and managed by The National Trust.

This 800 acre site features the largest Cistercian abbey ruins in Europe, 18th century landscaped gardens, and a Jacobean mansion.

The gardens and park reflect every stage in the evolution of English garden fashion, from the late 17th century to the 1780s and beyond.
