Temple of Fame, Studley Royal Water Garden canvas art print is by North East artist Emily Ward. This is a new addition to Emily's portfolio of her original artwork in the Yorkshire and Humberside range. The canvas print is hand finished by Emily.
The Georgian folly is surrounded by pretty little pink, lilac and white flowers which brighten up the round rotunda. The bright green of the leafy trees on the hilltop cast a gentle hue of colour over the wooden columns.
Emily's characteristic splashes of colour that float up from the wildflowers, add a warmth to this lovely art canvas print.

Temple of Fame, Studley Royal Water Garden
The National Trust's Studley Royal Water Garden
, including the ruins of Fountains Abbey
, in Yorkshire, is a designated World Heritage Site. This 800 acre site features the largest Cistercian abbey ruins in Europe, 18th century landscaped gardens, and a Jacobean mansion.
UNESCO list it as 'one of the most magnificent Georgian water gardens ever created'.
The Temple of Fame is believed to date from around 1770, built for William Aislabie by Thomas Buck and Thomas Doe.
Although the 8 columns look like stone, they are actually made of wood and plaster, and subsequently have needed frequent renovations. Originally positioned near to the banqueting house, it was moved to a vantage point looking out over Moon Pond.
