St James's Palace Canvas Print

St James's Palace canvas art print has been produced from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. Emily hand finishes each canvas print with her characteristic splashes of paint making it individual to you.

Emily’s art canvas print of St James's Palace is glowing with shades of burnt orange, terracotta, and warm brick red. Subtle touches of golden yellow and soft brown add depth to the stonework, while the windows introduce cooler accents of pale blue and white, creating contrast against the warm walls.

Above, the sky is a soft wash of powder blue and lavender, lightly textured and speckled with floating dots of pink, yellow, and white.

In the foreground, a lively spread of flowers fills the lower edge of this canvas print. Tall stems rise in purple, magenta, blue, yellow, and white, suggesting spring or summer blooms swaying gently together.

These bright floral colours echo the scattered flecks drifting across the scene, uniting sky, building, and garden into a joyful, celebratory composition full of light and colour.

St Jame's Palace

St James’s Palace, nestled between The Mall and St James’s Park in central London, is a historic royal residence with origins dating back to the reign of Henry VIII. Completed in the 1530s, it was built in the distinctive red-brick Tudor style and for centuries served as the principal home of English monarchs. Although overshadowed in prominence by Buckingham Palace, it continues to play a key role in royal life, hosting formal receptions, investitures, and state occasions.

Its historic gatehouse and elegant courtyards stand as reminders of its rich past. Inside, it provides official offices and residences for members of the royal family. As the location where the Accession Council meets to formally proclaim a new sovereign, St James’s Palace remains a significant and enduring symbol of Britain’s monarchy.
