Seaham Lighthouse ceramic tile with easel is by artist Emily Ward, a local artist from the North East. This ceramic tile has been designed from an original painting by Emily and is printed and hand pressed locally in her art studio.
The beacon of light at the end of Seaham's north pier is awash with sea spray. The waves crash over the black and white striped lighthouse in Emily's art gift of Seaham Lighthouse.
A bright blue sky is filled with a gentle ripple of pink which swirls around behind the lighthouse creating a contrasting calming glow.

Seaham Lighthouse
The 10 meter tall black and white lighthouse is situated at the end of the north pier in Seaham harbour
in County Durham. The lighthouse replaced the Red Acre Point lighthouse in 1905.
Lighthouses are painted differently to help mariners identify them during the day, a lighthouse may be painted all white if its surroundings are dark and a lighthouse may have red stripes if it is next to white cliffs and rocks.

Each ceramic tile is made from an original painting by North East Artist Emily Ward.
Each tile comes with it’s own wooden easel so your tile is easy to display.
There is a cork backing on each tile and each tile is individually wrapped in a cellophane bag.
All ceramic tiles are individually printed so there may be a slight variation in colour tones.
