Frem on the Tyne keyring has been produced from an original painting by Emily Ward, North East artist.
Emily's keyring captures the power of the waves and the determination of the boat in the North Sea. Her use of paint splatters creates the effect of sea spray caused by the relentless waves.
The dark grey sky also contrasts well with the deep blue waves, with a reminder of the rough choppy seas of a cold morning.

About Boat on the Tyne
Inspired by a local North Shields fisherman who invited Emily to do painting of his pride and joy and livelihood, his fishing boat.
The two piers proudly guarding the Mouth of the Tyne
can be seen lit up with the white of the spindrift of the waves. The trawler is navigating its way back up the River Tyne to unload its catch at North Shields fish quay.
