The Discovery Museum Keyring

The Discovery Museum keyring has been created from original art by Newcastle artist Emily Ward. These art keyrings are all printed and hand pressed locally in Emily's studio in North Tyneside.

The Discovery Museum stands proud under a sky glowing with vibrant sunny colours on Emily's art keyring. The reds and oranges fill the evening sky casting a warming glow over the historic listed building.

Colourful wildflowers growing over the road add a nice calming touch to the forefront of this iconic Victorian building.

The Discovery Museum

The Discovery Museum is housed in Blandford House, a grand Victorian building on Blandford Square. Previously this was the old Cooperative Wholesale Society building. Built in 1899 it is a Grade II listed building.

The Discovery Museum started life in 1934 as the Municipal Museum of Science and Technology in Exhibition Park in Newcastle. It was the first science museum outside of London. It was installed in the temporary pavilion and eventually moved to Blandford House in 1981. The museum was relaunched as The Discovery Museum in 1994.
