Eilean Donan Castle
is one of the most visited places in Scotland. This iconic castle is nestled in the Western Highlands on a small tidal island. The confluence of the three sea lochs in which it lies are Loch Duich, Loch Long and Loch Alsh.
Eilean Donan was named after the celtic saint, Donnan of Eigg and means 'island of Donnan'. Saint Donnan was martyed in 617.
