Eastgate Clock, Chester
Eastgate Clock in Chester is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and a celebrated example of Victorian design. Built in 1899 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, it stands on the site of the original entrance to the Roman fortress of Deva.
The ornate ironwork structure, with its decorative gilding, intricate details, and striking clock faces on all four sides, sits proudly above the Eastgate. It offers visitors a reminder of both Chester’s ancient Roman origins and its later Victorian grandeur. Often described as the most photographed clock in England after Big Ben, Eastgate Clock
has become a beloved symbol of the city, blending history, craftsmanship, and civic pride in a single striking monument.

Each tile comes with it’s own wooden easel so your tile is easy to display.
There is a cork backing on each tile and each tile is individually wrapped in a cellophane bag.
All ceramic tiles are individually printed so there may be a slight variation in colour tones.
