Sizergh ceramic tile with easel is by North East artist Emily Ward. The ceramic tile has been created from original art by Emily and is hand pressed locally in her art studio.
Emily’s art of Sizergh Castle is full of colour and energy, featuring the castle’s warm sandstone façade with its battlements, mullioned windows, and central arched entrance. The castle is surrounded by lush greenery and vivid wildflowers that dominate the foreground, painted with splashes and dots of bright pinks, purples, blues and whites.
The sky above is a warm blend of golden yellow, soft orange, and tranquil blue, giving the impression of a serene early evening or sunrise. The use of Emily's glowing colours throughout creates a dreamy, almost magical atmosphere, turning the historical building into a fairy-tale-like scene.

Sizergh
Sizergh is a historic estate located just outside Kendal, on the southern edge of the Lake District. At its heart is Sizergh Castle
, a striking medieval residence that has been home to the Strickland family for over eight centuries. Now cared for by the National Trust, the castle showcases impressive features such as its ancient tower, finely crafted oak-panelled rooms, and the exceptional Elizabethan Inlaid Chamber.

Each ceramic tile is made from an original painting by North East Artist Emily Ward.
Each tile comes with it’s own wooden easel so your tile is easy to display.
There is a cork backing on each tile and each tile is individually wrapped in a cellophane bag.
All ceramic tiles are individually printed so there may be a slight variation in colour tones.
