The grand, historic Royal Liver Building stands proudly at the centre of Emily’s art gift. The detailed architecture is illustrated in soft, muted tones that contrast beautifully with the lively background. The building's famous two clock towers and Liver Birds that are perched on top are clearly visible, symbolising the city's rich heritage.
The background bursts with dreamy hues of purples, pinks, and soft blues, giving the sky an almost magical atmosphere.
In the foreground, a meadow of abstract wildflowers in vibrant yellows, greens, pinks, and whites adds a playful, uplifting touch and has been created with Emily’s joyful splashes and dots of colour.

The Royal Liver Building
The Royal Liver Building is one of the most iconic landmarks in Liverpool and a symbol of the city’s rich maritime heritage. Completed in 1911, it forms part of Liverpool’s famous “Three Graces” on the Pier Head, alongside the Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building.
Designed by architect Walter Aubrey Thomas, the Royal Liver Building
was one of the earliest buildings in the world to be constructed using reinforced concrete and, at the time of its completion, was the tallest building in Europe. Its most famous features are the two clock towers, each crowned by a mythical Liver Bird, a symbol of Liverpool, that are said to watch over the city and the River Mersey.

Each ceramic tile is made from an original painting by North East Artist Emily Ward.
Each tile comes with it’s own wooden easel so your tile is easy to display.
There is a cork backing on each tile and each tile is individually wrapped in a cellophane bag.
All ceramic tiles are individually printed so there may be a slight variation in colour tones.
