The Cobb at Lyme Regis Pendant Decoration
The Cobb at Lyme Regis Hanging Pendant Decoration
The Cobb at Lyme Regis ceramic pendant has been created from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. This lovely hanging decoration has been hand pressed locally in her studio near Newcastle.
A warm, dreamlike glow settles over Emily’s art ceramic pendant of The Cobb, where the stone curve of the harbour leads the eye gently toward the horizon.
The sky is awash with soft pinks, peaches, and hints of coral, blending into one another, with delicate speckles scattered across the scene as if suspended in the air. These same rosy tones are echoed in the sea, which reflects the sky in shimmering bands of blush and gold, the surface calm and lightly rippled.
The weathered stone of the walkway carries muted browns and dusky reds, grounding the scene beneath the luminous sky. To the side, a small wooden building and moored boats rest quietly, their subdued colours contrasting with the glowing atmosphere, as the low sun casts a gentle light that has a tranquil feel.

The Cobb at Lyme Regis
The Cobb at Lyme Regis stands as both a working harbour and a cherished symbol of the town’s character and resilience. Its high, curving wall stretches out into the sea, offering visitors sweeping views of the Jurassic Coast and the colourful fishing boats moored within the sheltered harbour.
Over the centuries, the structure has endured fierce Channel storms, each rebuilding adding to its layered history and unique shape. Beyond its maritime purpose, the Cobb has inspired artists and filmmakers, most famously featuring in the film adaptation of The French Lieutenant's Woman, based on the novel by John Fowles.
Today, it remains a favourite place for locals and tourists alike, whether strolling along its broad stones, watching the waves crash dramatically against its sides, or simply enjoying the timeless atmosphere of this historic seaside landmark.
