Temple of Piety, Studley Royal Water Garden framed ceramic tile is by North East artist Emily Ward from her Fountains Abbey art print and gift range. The ceramic tile is printed and hand pressed in Emily Ward's art studio near Newcastle.
The reflection of the temple shimmers on Emily's purple haze over Moon Pond. Dainty purple, pink and blue flowers seem to float over the water.
The rich green of the trees provides a great backdrop to this lovely wall art.

Temple of Piety, Studley Royal Water Garden
Studley Royal Water Garden
along with Fountains Abbey, near Ripon in Yorkshire, is a designated World Heritage Site. The 800 acre site features include the largest Cistercian abbey ruins in Europe, 18th century landscaped gardens, and a Jacobean mansion. The estate is managed by The National Trust.
The Temple of Piety on the East side of Moon Pond at Studley Royal Water Garden, North Yorkshire and was built around 1737. The Temple of Piety was originally known as the Temple of Hercules and has pediment and Tuscan columns.
The gardens were created in 1716 by John Aislabie and continued by his son William in the later eighteenth century.
Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm
Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
