Shakespeare's Birthplace ceramic pendant has been created from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. This lovely hanging decoration has been hand pressed locally in her studio near Newcastle.

This vibrant decorative pendant of Shakespeare’s Birthplace combines the charm of the historic Tudor building with a lively mix of colour.

A beautiful pink and peach sky creates a warm, dreamy background, with delicate splashes of blue, pink and white adding extra interest. The foreground is filled with tall flowers in rich shades of pink, lilac, purple and blue, creating a colourful garden effect.

The soft floral shapes and scattered paint splashes give Emily's art a joyful feel while beautifully framing the distinctive timber framed building.

Shakespeare's Birthplace

Shakespeare’s Birthplace is a historic 16th century timber framed house on Henley Street in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. It is believed to have been the house where William Shakespeare was born in 1564 and where he spent his childhood.

The property belonged to his father, John Shakespeare, a successful glove maker and local businessman, who lived there with his wife Mary and their family.

Shakespeare’s Birthplace has welcomed visitors for years and is one of the best known literary landmarks in England. The house was purchased for the nation in 1847 and is now cared for by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
