Rutter Force Canvas Print
Rutter Force Canvas Print
Rutter Force art print has been produced from original art by North East artist Emily Ward. Emily hand finishes each canvas print with her characteristic splashes of paint making it individual to you.
Emily’s art canvas print beautifully captures the natural charm of Rutter Force. At the heart of the scene, a white, frothing waterfall tumbles gracefully into a pool, its energy expressed through splashes and speckles of paint that seem to leap off the canvas.
The old stone mill with its waterwheel adds a historic presence, contrasting with the wildness of the falling water. The background is filled with lush green trees and the sky glows warmly in shades of pink and orange, suggesting a sunset or sunrise.
In the foreground, a meadow of colourful wildflowers filled with daubs of pink, yellow, and purple bring a brightness which frames the waterfall in a lively burst of colour. The combination of natural beauty, history, and expressive brushwork gives the artwork a dreamy, almost magical atmosphere.

Rutter Force
Rutter Force, near the village of Great Asby in Cumbria, is a charming waterfall on the Hoff Beck. It is set in a picturesque and tranquil corner of the Eden Valley. The falls cascade over a broad limestone ledge into a clear pool below, with the old mill building standing nearby.
The mill, originally used for grinding corn, was later converted to manufacture bobbins and then a sawmill. In the late 19th century, a water turbine was installed at the falls to generate electricity for the village
Surrounded by trees and lush greenery, Rutter Force has a secluded, almost hidden feel, making it a peaceful spot for walkers and photographers to enjoy. It is easily reached by footpaths from the village or nearby lanes.
