The building’s contrasting styles are shown in detail, the red-brick Georgian wing to the left complements the striking black-and-white timber-framed Tudor hall to the right.
A clear blue sky with soft touches of cloud forms a serene backdrop, while the foreground bursts with colour in a field of wildflowers. Rufford Old Hall
Rufford Old Hall in Lancashire is an important example of late medieval and Tudor domestic architecture, distinguished by its remarkable timber-framed construction and historical significance. Erected in the 1530s for Sir Robert Hesketh, the hall’s most celebrated feature is its Great Hall, which contains an intricately carved oak screen and an elaborately designed hammerbeam roof, both exemplary of Tudor craftsmanship.
Inside, you’ll find beautifully preserved rooms filled with antique furniture, portraits, and tapestries that bring the stories of past generations to life.
