Emily’s art coaster captures Rochester Castle in a blaze of colour, where the historic fortress stands proudly beneath a radiant sky of vivid pinks, peaches and soft coral hues.
The warm sunlight enhances the honey coloured stone, giving the castle a welcoming glow while emphasising its impressive medieval form.

Rochester Castle
Standing proudly on the banks of the River Medway, Rochester Castle is one of England's finest and best preserved Norman fortresses. Built shortly after the Norman Conquest, its magnificent stone keep, completed in the early 12th century under the direction of Bishop Gundulf, has dominated the Kent skyline for over 900 years.
Throughout its history, the castle
has withstood famous sieges, including the dramatic attack of 1215 during King John's reign, when part of the outer wall was brought during a medieval siege.
Today, visitors can climb the towering keep to enjoy sweeping views across Rochester and the surrounding countryside.
