Rochdale Town Hall framed ceramic tile has been designed from artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. All ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio, where she hand finishes every tile.
Emily’s vibrant framed ceramic tile captures Rochdale Town Hall in a wonderfully bright and uplifting scene, with its magnificent clock tower rising proudly into a dramatic, softly textured sky. Gentle shades of blue, grey and warm cream blend together overhead, scattered with delicate splashes of white and yellow.
The warm golden tones of the historic building contrast beautifully with the cooler sky, while the elegant statue adds character and a sense of history to the scene.
In the foreground, a joyful display of bold yellow sunflowers fills the picture with colour, their deep centres and loose, expressive brushstrokes creating a striking frame for the Town Hall beyond.
