Otter Estuary, Burdleigh Salterton ceramic tile with easel is by North East artist Emily Ward. The ceramic tile has been created from original artwork by Emily and is hand pressed locally in her art studio.
Emily's art gift presents a calm, dreamlike landscape filled with light and gentle colour. The sky is awash with soft purples and lavenders, sprinkled with tiny flecks of colour that float across the surface like mist or falling petals.
The estuary winds slowly through the scene, its smooth, reflective water echoing the violet tones of the sky alongside subtle greens and blues. The surrounding land glows with warm yellows, fresh greens, and touches of earthy orange whilst a row of slender trees stretches across the distance.
In the foreground, wild grasses and flowers are dotted with whites, pinks, and blues, bringing a tranquil feel to this art ceramic tile.

The River Otter Estuary
The Otter Estuary
is located at the mouth of the River Otter, where it meets the English Channel at Budleigh Salterton, on the south coast of Devon. It lies at the eastern end of Budleigh’s pebble beach, stretching inland from the seafront and promenade, and forms part of the wider East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The estuary sits between Budleigh Salterton and the village of Otterton, creating a natural boundary where river, wetland, and coastline come together.
Ceramic Tile with Easel
Each ceramic tile is made from an original painting by North East Artist Emily Ward.
Each tile comes with it’s own wooden easel so your tile is easy to display.
There is a cork backing on each tile and each tile is individually wrapped in a cellophane bag.
All ceramic tiles are individually printed so there may be a slight variation in colour tones.
Ceramic Tile including the wooden easel is 15cm high x 10cm wide.
