Morpeth Chantry Postcard
Morpeth Chantry Postcard
Morpeth Chantry postcard is from North East artist Emily Ward's beautiful range of art postcards. This postcard has been created from original art by Emily.
This art postcard of Morpeth Chantry captures the historic building in a lively and colourful scene. The sandstone walls glow in rich shades of orange and gold, drawing attention to the arched doorway and tall pointed windows.
In front, a field of flowers painted in splashes of pink, purple, yellow, and blue fills the foreground with vibrant energy, their tall stems adding rhythm and texture.
The sky is a soft mix of lilac and blue, scattered with bright speckles. Surrounded by leafy green trees and neighbouring buildings, the chantry stands proudly at the heart of the art card, transformed into a radiant and uplifting vision.

Morpeth Chantry
Morpeth Chantry, standing by the River Wansbeck in the heart of Morpeth, is a remarkable reminder of the town’s medieval past. Built in the 13th century, it first served as both a chapel and a chantry school, its sandstone walls and pointed arches showcasing the architectural style of the time.
Over the centuries, the building has been used in many ways, including as a school and courthouse, and today it thrives as a hub for visitors with its craft centre, art gallery, and tourist information. Blending history with modern community life, Morpeth Chantry remains one of the town’s most cherished landmarks.
