Moot Hall - Keswick Ceramic Tile
Moot Hall - Keswick Framed Ceramic Tile
Moot Hall framed ceramic tile has been designed from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. All ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio, where she hand finishes every tile.
This framed ceramic tile of Moot Hall is a vibrant and uplifting portrayal that perfectly captures the charm of Keswick’s Market Square. The historic building stands proudly at the centre, its stone walls glowing in warm shades of brown and amber, complemented by striking blue doors and windows.
The surrounding shops and houses are painted in soft pastel hues of cream, pink, and pale blue, adding warmth and character to the scene.
The sky radiates with a glowing sun that blends from brilliant yellow into gentle tones of blue and lavender, bathing the town in soft light. In the foreground, a colourful sea of flowers bursts with life, splashes of pink, purple, white, and yellow scattered in a joyful flurry of brushstrokes.

Moot Hall
Moot Hall in Keswick is a beautifully preserved historic building that stands proudly at the centre of the Market Square. The present structure dates from the early 19th century, though its origins reach back to the 1500s, when earlier versions served the local community.
Built from traditional Lake District slate, its distinctive clock tower and gabled roof make it one of Keswick’s most recognisable landmarks. Throughout its long history, Moot Hall has played many roles from courthouse and market hall to meeting place for town officials.
Today, it is home to the Keswick Tourist Information Centre and continues to welcome visitors from around the world. With its rich heritage and timeless charm, Moot Hall perfectly captures the character and history of this vibrant Lakeland town.
