Emily Ward’s art bone china cup beautifully blends the gentle nature of Highland cows with the wild beauty of their surroundings. The three cows stand side by side, their thick, tousled coats glowing in shades of copper, gold, and amber, giving them an almost sunlit radiance.

Behind them, the rolling hills are painted in cool blues and purples, fading softly into the sky, which glows with delicate tones of lavender and lilac. The foreground bursts with colour, a meadow filled with splashes of pink, violet, yellow, and green, creating a lively field of wildflowers. Highland Cows

Highland cows, fondly known as “Hairy Coos,” are among Scotland’s most distinctive and charming animals. With their long, shaggy coats and majestic curved horns, they are perfectly suited to the wild and windswept landscapes of the Scottish Highlands. Their thick fur provides warmth and protection through the cold, wet seasons, while their gentle, curious nature has made them favourites with both locals and visitors.

These striking cattle come in a variety of colours, from rich russet and golden tones to cream, black, and grey.
