George Square Bone China Cup

George Square Bone China Cup is from original artwork by local North East artist Emily Ward.

The landmark City chambers stand proud under a bright orange sky in Emily's artwork. The warming tones from the sunlit sky shine bright over George Square.

Little colourful flowers mixed with Emily's splashes of colour really give light up this bone china cup.

George Square

George Square is at the heart of Glasgow city centre. Named after King George III it opened in 1787 and took two decades of work to complete.

The impressive City Chambers were designed by William Young, a Glaswegian architect. Queen Victoria opened the ornate building in 1888. The City Chambers or otherwise known as the Municipal Building has been home to Glasgow City Council since 1996.
