Treasurer's House framed ceramic tile is by North East artist Emily Ward from her Yorkshire art print and gift range. The ceramic tile is printed and hand pressed in Emily Ward's art studio near Newcastle.
Rich orange and reds light up the skyline above the elegant grand building near to York Minster. A golden sun shines bright over the Grade 1 listed building which casts a pink hue over Treasurer's House.
Pretty little blue , purple and white flowers grow in abundance on the edge of the lawn inviting you towards this treasure trove of a house.

Treasurer's House
Treasurer's House
is tucked away behind York Minster. The National Trust own and manage the house and gardens. There has been a house on the site since 1091 when the Archbishop appointed the first treasurer to manage York Minster's money. Nothing remains of this house today.
The oldest remains of Treasurers House, still in existence is an external wall which forms part of the boutique Gray’s Court Hotel. It is believed to date back to the 12th Century. By 1419 there was another new building functioning as the Treasurers House. The house was remodelled various times , notably the biggest changes were when Frank Green bought the house in 1897.
Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm
Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
