The Manchester Bee ceramic pendant has been created from original art by North East artist Emily Ward. This lovely hanging decoration has been hand pressed locally in her studio near Newcastle.

Emily’s art is of the famous Manchester Bee, set against a vibrant and joyful backdrop. The iconic bee, with its distinctive orange and black stripes and strong, symmetrical wings, stands proudly at the centre on this art ceramic pendant. The Manchester Bee contrasts beautifully with the soft, painted background.

Surrounding the bee is a lively meadow of colourful wildflowers, created with playful dabs and splashes of paint in shades of yellow, pink, white, and blue. The sky above is a cheerful, bright blue, dotted with soft pastel splatters that give the whole scene a sense of movement and energy. The combination of the strong bee symbol and the whimsical floral setting perfectly reflects the spirit of Manchester, resilient, hardworking, and full of colour and community pride.
