The Circus, Bath

The Circus in Bath is a magnificent circular row of Georgian townhouses, renowned for its grand architecture and elegant symmetry. Designed by John Wood the Elder and completed in 1768, The Circus is considered one of the finest examples of Georgian urban planning in England.

The impressive terrace is made up of three curved segments that form a perfect circle, enclosing a central green space often adorned with trees. Inspired by classical Roman architecture, the design features striking columns, decorative stonework, and intricate details that showcase the craftsmanship of the period.
