Emily’s art canvas print of the British Museum presents the grand neoclassical façade in a dreamlike atmosphere. The sky above is a luminous wash of soft blues and lilacs, layered with gentle, swirling clouds that seem to dissolve into one another.
Flecks of pastel colour, yellows, pinks, and pale purples, are scattered across the scene like drifting petals or stardust. The stone columns and courtyard are rendered in warm creams and muted greys.
In the foreground, a meadow of delicate flowers bursts into life, painted in dots and slender strokes of pink, violet, blue, and fresh green. The blossoms appear light and joyful, their colours echoing the sky above, as if embracing the historic architecture.

The British Museum
was founded in 1753, making it the world’s first national public museum, established through an Act of Parliament based on the collections of physician and scientist Sir Hans Sloane. It officially opened to the public in 1759 at Montagu House, offering free access to its collections from the very beginning.
The grand building seen today was constructed later, between 1823 and 1852, designed by architect Sir Robert Smirke in an imposing Greek Revival style, with its vast columns and symmetrical façade conveying authority and permanence.
Over time, the museum expanded to house artefacts from across the world, becoming not only a centre of learning and preservation but also a symbol of shared human history and cultural exchange.

The canvas is mounted on a wooden frame. The wooden frame is approximately 2cm deep so will fit snugly against any wall.
Canvases are available in various sizes. Each size can be chosen above on the website.
