Temple of Piety, Studley Royal Water Garden Bone China Cup has been created from original artwork by local North East artist Emily Ward.

All of Emily's bone china cups are hand pressed in her art studio near Newcastle.

Purple and pink flowers cast delicate colours over the lake in front of this historic Follie.

The temple is reflected shimmering amongst a swirl of colour on Emily's bone china cup.

Temple of Piety, Studley Royal Water Gardens

The Temple of Piety lies on the east side of Moon Pond at Studley Royal Water Garden, North Yorkshire and was built around 1737. The Temple of Piety was originally known as the Temple of Hercules and has pediment and Tuscan columns.

The gardens were created in 1716 by John Aislabie and continued by his son William in the later eighteenth century.

Studley Royal Park including the ruins of Fountains Abbey in Yorkshire is a designated World Heritage Site. This 800 acre site features the largest Cistercian abbey ruins in Europe, 18th century landscaped gardens, and a Jacobean mansion.

The gardens and park reflect every stage in the evolution of English garden fashion, from the late 17th century to the 1780s and beyond.
