St Albans Cathedral ceramic tile with easel is by North East artist Emily Ward. The ceramic tile has been created from original artwork by Emily and is hand pressed locally in her art studio.
St Albans Cathedral rises impressively above its colourful surroundings on this bright and uplifting ceramic tile.
The intricate stonework, large central window and arched entrances are picked out in warm shades of honey, cream and soft peach.
The clear blue sky and fresh green foliage give the scene a summery feel, while splashes of cerise pink, lavender, cornflower blue, yellow and white flowers bring texture to the foreground.

St Albans Cathedral
St Albans Cathedral
combines architectural features from several different periods, reflecting centuries of building, alteration and restoration. Its impressive Norman tower is one of its most recognisable features and was constructed using reused Roman material.
Inside, the cathedral contains medieval wall paintings, historic monuments and the shrine of St Alban. Formerly part of St Albans Abbey, the church became a cathedral in 1877 and today remains an important place of worship as well as a major historic landmark.
