Seaburn Framed Ceramic Tile
Seaburn Framed Ceramic Tile
Seaburn framed ceramic tile has been designed from an original painting by North East artist Emily Ward. All ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio, where she hand finishes every tile.
Emily’s painting depicts the coastal scene of Seaburn and it's renowned beach. Emily has painted the sky with soft blues and greys which transition into warm hues of yellow, peach, pink with a hint of purple, which could suggest a sunrise or sunset.
Emily’s lively sea spray contrasts with the peaceful town, glowing sky and earthy tones of the rocky headland.

Seaburn
Seaburn beach in South Tyneside has been a family favourite for hundreds of years. Seaburn boasts a wide, flat sandy beach and is popular for both bathing and watersports.
The Grade II lighthouse that stands proud between Roker and Seaburn was originally built in 1856 on Sunderland’s South pier at the mouth of the River Wear, by Thomas Meik. The lighthouse was relocated to Roker Cliff Park in 1983 and is referred to as the White Lighthouse or Meik’s Lighthouse.
