Orford Castle Coaster by artist Emily Ward has been hand pressed locally onto a FSC rated hardbacked coaster. The coaster has been produced from original art by Emily.
Emily’s colourful view of Orford Castle combines the strength and character of the old stone building with a much softer, prettier landscape. The castle is rich shades of gold, ochre and warm brown, standing beautifully against a sweeping pink and purple sky.
Below, layers of green are filled with an abundance of wildflowers, with splashes of bright pink, white, yellow and lilac covering the foreground.
The vibrant colours and scattered paint effects give this art coaster a light, happy and almost magical quality.

Orford Castle
Rising above the Suffolk countryside, Orford Castle
is a striking building with a history stretching back more than 800 years. Its tall stone keep has watched over the village of Orford for centuries and remains remarkably well preserved today.
With its unusual rounded towers, thick stone walls and commanding position, the castle has a strong and unmistakable character. Set against the softer colours of the surrounding countryside, it is a wonderful contrast of rugged medieval architecture and the peaceful East Anglian landscape.
