Lichfield Cathedral framed ceramic tile has been designed from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. All ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in Emily's art studio, where she hand finishes every tile.
Rich colour brings this framed ceramic tile of Lichfield Cathedral to life, with warm golden and russet tones highlighting the beautiful stonework and Gothic architecture.
Above, a fresh blue sky is scattered with expressive flecks of colour, giving Emily’s art a light and cheerful feel. A mass of wildflowers fills the foreground, with vibrant pink, violet, cornflower blue, yellow and white blooms rising amongst fresh green stems and grasses, creating a colourful contrast against the historic cathedral.

Lichfield Cathedral
Lichfield Cathedral
is a medieval cathedral in the city of Lichfield, Staffordshire. Dedicated to St Chad and St Mary, it is particularly distinctive for its three spires, often known locally as the “Ladies of the Vale.”
Much of the present building dates from the 12th and 13th centuries and features Gothic architecture, intricate stonework, stained glass windows and an elaborately decorated west front.
Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
