Gisborough Priory
The dramatic ruins of the priory in the Tees valley are dominated by the skeleton of the 14th century church’s east end, which is an outstanding example of early Gothic architecture.
As one of the first Augustinian priories to be built in England, Gisborough
was founded by the Bruce family, who were ancestors of Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland.
The Priory and tranquil woodland gardens are a relaxing sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle, where you can explore 900 years of history.
